A unique business

Our Intermodal business is unique, dynamic and extremely time sensitive and we realise that shippers need to use every tool at their disposal to manage the transit cycle and keep abreast of this rapidly changing business.

In order to assist we have developed a variety of e-business solutions to address your needs. They encompass direct EDI connectivity and web-enabled transactions through our new A2B system that allows you to book freight, generate consignment notes, track your consignment and produce an export receival advice (ERA).  As our customer, you own the information, which is keyed only once.

Domestic containers
We can provide rail – road transit for domestic containers in different combinations of 20’, 24’, 30’, 40’ 46’ and 48’ containers.  Our intermodal customers have the flexibility to use this fleet in dedicated assignment or as required.

Shipping containers
QRNational provides rail – road transit for shipping containers in standard formats.

Unfortunately we cannot accept containers if there is no consignment note, no dangerous goods documentation or the container is not compliant.  Please speak to us if you require any guidance on these matters.
