The Hunter Valley is an important area for QR National, with growing operations and a growing workforce. QR National is proud to be a major sponsor of the Newcastle Knights and Jets.
We are dedicated to expanding our national footprint and market presence and our partnership with the Hunter Sports Group for the dual-club sponsorship will build on our commitment to regional communities.
The Knights, established in 1988, have tasted on field success with eight consecutive years of finals appearances, including two premierships in 1997 and 2001. The Jets have over 10,000 passionate local fans and strong history in the A-League competition, winning the championship in 2007/08 season.
Off the field, both teams recognise the people of their region are their most important asset, and have been involved in a significant number of community programs and charities.
To extend our involvement in the community in the region, the sponsorship will include community programs, scholarships, health and well-being programs and volunteer recognition programs, as well as the utilisation of players to help spread the message of Rail Safety.
