With global steel production increasing, especially from our Asian trading partners, QR National has established a dedicated business to provide fully integrated supply chain solutions for our customers.

Our new stand alone Iron Ore business is set to enable the next major wave of growth in Western Australia’s iron ore industry.

Our expertise extends to collaborating with our customers on greenfield opportunities as well as expansions, taking projects from development, right through to execution.

As Australia’s largest rail freight operator, QR National has enterprise-wide capabilities in all aspects of above and below rail operations. We’re working with customers to optimize the supply chain and maximise the tonnes delivered to port.

QR National is committed to Australia’s iron ore industry and we are on track to treble our haulage of iron ore tonnages in the next three years.  To support this growth we’re investing in new rollingstock and infrastructure in the emerging iron ore regions of Western Australia.
