Intermodal Freight

Each day, QR National Freight’s Intermodal business transports general freight, industrial freight and specialised bulk freight to a diverse customer base across Australia.

We work with our customers to provide containerised linehaul, specialised bulk handling and integrated supply chain solutions which combine rail, road and sea transport.
 
Our rail services from Cairns through to Perth are supported by an extensive road fleet to ensure that our customers’ freight is safely delivered to its destination. 

With a national network of freight terminals, distribution centres and depots located close to major transport hubs, and warehouses and storage facilities across five states, we are positioned to meet the growing demand for intermodal freight services.

In 2011, we made a multimillion dollar investment in rollingstock to support our increased rail services on the north-south and east-west corridors. 

Our expanding road fleet comprises a variety of vehicles, ranging from food grade pressure tankers to heavy haulage vehicles.
