Servicing customers from more than 56 mine sites, QR National Coal operates in each of Australia’s six major coal chain systems in Queensland and New South Wales. We work with our customers to develop supply chain solutions for maximised throughput and to safely deliver their coal to its destination.

With a fleet of around 391 locomotives and 8,993 wagons, our impressive economy of scale allows us to meet the significant variability and flexibility within the supply chains in which we operate.

Decades of experience means we are a leader in heavy haul and bulk railway technology and are experts in designing, maintaining and running state-of-the-art locomotives and wagons.

As demand for coal continues to escalate, growing to meet our customers’ needs is a priority. Over the last three years alone QR National Coal has invested more than $1.8 billion to expand its fleet and grow to meet market demand.
